It is normal. Yes your hymen is probably broken. If the bleeding stops you don't need to see the doc, otherwise you must.

Some bleeding is common when it is your first time, but it should stop pretty quickly. If it doesn't then you may need to see a Dr. because you might have had some tearing of your vagina or vulva. Especially if you are petite and your boyfriend was, how should I put this? uuummm.... Well endowed. Or if he was a little overenthusiastic during the initial penetration and didn't give your body a chance to stretch.
And yes, if you had sexual intercourse, most likely your hymen will be torn. But that doesn't happen 100% of the time.

I also bled my first time.

It was embarrassing for me, but he..didn't care one way or the other lol..

Yes, you broke your hymen, but believe it or not..

you might bleed the 2nd or even 3rd time you have sex.

Of course it will be less painful each time, but you might still bleed.

It is important to go to the gyno once youv'e started having sex to possibly get on birth control, and to check for STD's.

BUT..if you're asking if you have to go to a docor vecause you bled the first time you've had sex..the answer is no..

It probably was your hymen breaking. It probably shouldn't bleed for long, but if it does for more then a week you should talk to a trusted adult because you may have torn inside and are at risk for an infection.
