the first time i had sex i started bleeding. is this normal? did i break my hymen and i should go to the doc?

It is normal. Yes your hymen is probably broken. If the bleeding stops you don't need to see the doc, otherwise you must.

Some bleeding is common when it is your first time, but it should stop pretty quickly. If it doesn't then you may need to see a Dr. because you might have had some tearing of your vagina or vulva. Especially if you are petite and your boyfriend was, how should I put this? uuummm.... Well endowed. It probably was your hymen breaking. It probably shouldn't bleed for long, but if it does for more then a week you should talk to a trusted adult because you may have torn inside and are at risk for an infection.

all normal, soreness should go away in a few days and next time you do it you should have a better time

remember the hynem is skin, and when you rip skin of the walls of your vagina, it bleeds like any other cut
