I have to agree with the poster "Kitty".

The first year of marriage is very stressful - I don't care what you think "others have experienced." Remember, most people don't reveal what is really going on that first year, but I was married April 2006, and I'm telling you I thought we were going to kill each other during our first year, and we really do love each other -- but he got on my last nerve regarding jsut about everything (ha). It's funny now, but I'm telling you he pissed me off all of the time.

Now, we found out we were pregnant in July (got pregnant Father's Day - June 2007 - tehe), and we are truly, truly overjoyed (it has made us even closer), but I'm telling you that we needed that first year to get use to each other, and we have been together since January 2002, and he is now 41, and I'm now 40 (so we are mature and highly use to each other).

Being married is its own venue. My recommendation is to be married at least 1 year (maybe 2 to 3) before adding pregnancy (children) to the equation. This is just advice from someone who "thinks" she may have something to offer - hopefully that something is helpful! :)

Do you want to be able to have a few drinks at your wedding? Do you want to risk the possibility of suffering from morning sickness when you get married?

If those things don't matter to you, you could probably start trying the month before your wedding. You'd be best off waiting until your honeymoon and trying not to think so much about dates and ovulation, etc. The first few months of TTC should be worry-free! That's the best way to concieve. Then, if it's not working, you should start charting and planning more.

Pregnancy can not be planned to a T. It will happen when it's meant to happen and you will enjoy it and have the same results if it happens during a different time of year.

Well its a bit hard to pinpoint exactly when you will fall pregnant so don't be disappointed if it doesn't happen straight away.

I would go off birth control 3 mths before you want to start trying and use condoms inbetween. Maybe start trying in april and hopefully by august you will be pregnant and be able to have a baby when you want. The average is 4-6mths to fall pregnant.

Remeber to start taking pre-natal vitamins including folate when you go off the pill to give your body and the baby a great start.

best of luck

Why do you want to get pregnant right away? Getting married is a huge stressful . . new thing..... Do you really want to add stress and have a baby in that same year? It sounds like you're rushing into the pregnancy. Have you talked to your husband to be about this? You should really get his input before you just fall pregnant. I mean if roles were reversed would you like it if he done that you? Good Luck

You can't "time" when you're going to get pregnant. If you start trying a few months ahead, you might get pregnant right away or you might end up having to try for a year or two. If you don't want to get pregnant until after your wedding day, wait until after to start trying, just in case you get knocked up on the first try!
Good luck!

Good luck with all of that.

However you can't plan a pregnancy 100%.
