I remembered my lines and everything but I played around too much. I told him I can actually do it this time. By the way im 13 years old now. i think I can handle not playing around in an acting class. i need to know the costs, times and tips and advice about this saturday. How much money will I have to get my dad to pay to audition this saturday.?? Please help me someone im in desperate need.!!!

Take Helene's advice. Look through my answers for past advice on JRP. Complete wast of money and time. You will get absolutely nowhere with them except poor and have your dreams built up and smashed.

Take all that enthusiams and your dad's willingness to help you and put it into real legitimate classes and training. Acting class is not playing around. It's real training and you're learning real techniques. Find legitimate classes in your area. If you are outside of Southern California, do a websearch for your state name and the word film and search the sites that come up. You're looking for your state's film alliances, associations, etc. Usually in their links page they have info on classes, local auditions, etc. If not, email them and ask. Also check into local theatres which is also where you should be building your resume performing in every show that will take you. They may also have classes for teens. Classes are what costs money (then headshots, etc.) not a glorified charm school like JRP.

You NEVER EVER pay to audition for ANYTHING EVER. That is ALWAYS a giant SCAM. Do a websearch for John Robert Powers Scam and see what comes up along with Helene's link to Ripoff Report. They're the biggest ripoff around and if you really want to make a career for yourself in the entertainment industry you will do it the right way and not go to that audition Saturday but start searching for good classes now.

You have to ask those auditioning you the cost. They are the one's organizing the event. Hollywood is a city, in Los Angeles, so, Hollywood will not be at the audition. Sounds like a scam.

Actually, you only asked it twice. You got answers, but apparently you don't like them.

You said this was a John Robert Powers event, and were advised not to go. There's your "tips and advice" right there.
"Cost" is answered by "too much". You don't PAY to audition, unless you're paying a thief. And as far as what time---how in blue blazes would any of us know that? You haven't even said what city, or in what shopping mall this ripoff of starry-eyed children is about to occur.

Show your dad this link:
http://www.ripoffreport.com/searchresults.asp?q1=ALL&q4=&q6=&q3=&q2=&q7=&searchtype=0&submit2=Search!&q5=John+Robert+Powers
and then apologize to him for wanting to waste large sums of his money.

I would suggest you do some more homework first. You shouldn't be paying to audition for an agency.
Do your own research first and then get your dad to help you: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/teen_acting.html

Check out the link about convincing your parents.
