however i do have to admit zaak wylde is pretty darn awesome. hes multitalented and everything.
but Slash is just so coool. u know? hes got that attitude and personality that just makes me adore him. haha. maybe its just because im a huge G n' R fan. haah. not so sure about velvet revolver tho. anyway
as much as i love zaak wylde i could never go against my main dish Slash.

Based on being a musician and loving both artists very much for there music. I would have to say, Zakk Wylde. He is a much better writer of music and has much more spirit with his creations. My guitar teacher knows the man who edits the actual music for Wylde, he's the one who writes it into books so it can be sold and learned by others. The story is that this guy left to get coffee and came back about a half hour later and Zakk Wylde had already written two more songs, lyrics and all, including solos. It's men like that that compare to artists such as Jimi Hendrix. I would say in general Zakk Wylde's music is better anyway. So you're answer is Zakk Wylde.

I am probably not being fair because I have not heard as much of Zakk as I have of Slash. But I like his blues based hard rock more then Zakk Wylde's somewhat less inspired hardcore metal.
Its really just a matter of personal preference. But I would not be surprised if Slash could name more influences and has a deeper understanding of music history.

Ask Slash.... ;) Anyone on here that says Slash is a better guitar player than Zakk, has never played a guitar. He bends, he shreds, he taps, he sweeps, he rips out some of the best, if not best, harmonics in the business, he sings, and his tone is second only to Van Halens.

Zakk is the better technically perfect player, but not as creative.
Slash is the better creative player, but not as technically perfect.
Who would you rather listen to?
My money is on Slash.

I am an incurable Slash fan, so without a doubt Slash is better.
