He works a lot, is in his last year of high school, and his greatest interest seems to be hanging out with my daughter - so I know that is no help at all deciding what to get him. Any suggestions?

My mom had the same problem. She did gift cards and video games. In general both will work for most teenage guys. DVDs, PJ pants (my mom gets those for all the guys), or something like tickets to a show, concert, or sporting event have also been cool things my mom did for my boyfriend. I guess it depends on how long they have been together and if he is like part of your family or just that guy your daughter is dating?! Hope that helps a little bit :) Good luck

Without knowing who and what you have been dealing with, I will have to answer this, just from what I've read. I do want to say though, that having a child with someone insures that you have somewhat of a lasting relationship with them. In order for the father to have a relationship with the child, the father also has to have a somewhat decent relationship with the child's mother. And I'm sure I don't need to tell you, that YOU are the OTHER WOMAN, not the ex. She had him first. So moving on, I think the cologne set was a nice idea, bought by the mother, and given with the son's name. So the mother thought that the son should give his father something for Christmas, but not knowing what to buy, bought something that she hoped he might like and might use. Was there a sexual innuendo there ? Maybe, but I doubt it. More, I think that YOU are JEALOUS of this exwife, and YOU would like to have this man all to yourself, thank you. And it's bad enough you have to share him with his son (from a previous relationship), because you two have a child together, he should be caring more for your child than the one that he had with her, right ? As for the presents to your daughter, I think maybe she understands how hard it is for your bf to have two women in his life, and she is trying to smooth things over with YOU, by buying gifts for your daughter. Maybe, if these gifts were better well-recieved, you and she might (at some point) try for a little friendship between you two women. It is always easier, when you have someone helping you look out for those people that are important to you. Maybe she thinks that her son might have better care, if you two women were friends, and each looking out for each other's children. Or maybe she wants a sister-type relationship, or maybe she's just trying to kiss up. You're angry now, but maybe if you let yourself take a step back and think about things, they won't seem so threatening.

my mom usuallly gets my boyfriend a gift card to his favorite restaurant or Best Buy or just somewhere he really likes usually somewhere we have gone together and then like a video game or DVD or CD that always works...just ask your daughter or try and pay attention to what kinds of things he's interested in.

How about a gift card to a restaurant like Outback Steakhouse or Applebee's, so he can take his girl out for dinner and not have to worry about the cost?

Ok, so you know he likes to hang with your daughter, but I don't think its possible to wrap your daughter up and give her to him!!!
So maybe you could try talking to your daughter about his interests, and what an ideal present for him is!
Afterall, I don't think that we can really help you, not knowing much about his hobbies, so ask one of the people who know him most, his girlfriend, Your DAUGHTER!!

:D
Good Luck!

I'd give him a goodly dose of salt-peter... lol
but that's just because I wouldn't want to be a grandparent yet... lol

Honestly, you should talk with your daughter about it.
I have no way of telling what his interests might be.

I like designer label clothes...

Good luck
