Very frustrating. Mainly because they have 8 lanes and only 2 open.

I usually head off the grocery store in the evenings or in the morning, or at odd times in the weekend so I don't usually get into long lines. However, when shopping with my parents as a child I have waited long lines. It's a bit painful standing there but nothing really bad.

I am a very very inpatient person..
so usually when there's a long line..
I will try to wait then..
I open some of the food and eat it...
if the line is still really long i go to the 10 items or less and tell them my mom's having a baby and I have to hurry..
it usually works if you don't go to the same place lol

Yeah, sometimes I have to wait.
But then I remember that I have easy access to unlimited food that I didn't have to grow or kill, food that is fresh and clean. So many people in the world don't have that.
If waiting in line for 10 minutes is the price I have to pay, then that seems fair.

My experience is I go to the shortest line and for some
reason I end up waiting the longest.Either the person in
front of me got the wrong item thinking it was on sale.or
they get Wik and they have to ring up all the items on
separate coupons.

Never. I go and find a shorter line, or just walk around looking at other things until I find a short line.

well, if there's more than 30 people in the 10 item or less line, I usually end up stuffing the food in my shirt and walk out

Are you kidding? I'm the guy! The one who no matter which line I choose, always ends up with a price check, a cashier change, and a credit card that won't work!!! If you see me, RUN!!!
