In the local '07 election I voted for 1 Republican, 4 Democrats, 3 local third party candidates (a regional party called Charterites) and 1 Green.
As Groucho Marx said, "There are two kinds of people in the world, those who believe in dichotomies, and those who don't."
As the conservative/liberal soap opera continues to draw viewers and advertising dollars, I wonder if the shrillness and stridency of political debate presages an era when "conservative" and "liberal" will be considered archaic.
Conservatives and liberals don't really exist, folks. They are characters on a television show called "news."
