Ok, a friend of mine sent me a txt message a few minutes ago saying that he was seriously thinking about committing suicide tonight. He lives over 4 hours away from me and I don't know any of his friends in the town in which he lives. I don't know who to tell, what to do, or what to tell him. Please help me!

Call the operator to put you through to the police in his city and give them his address. Also call his family if you can. Call him on the phone and get him talking and keep him on the phone. It might not matter as much about what you say...but about connecting with him. Reach out through the phone like if you hang up you won't ever see him again. Do it right now... don't know how much time you have.

You have his cell phone #, as well as where about he lives even if its the phone number, call 9-1-1 and tell them, they ma need to transfer you to that town. Give the police the name of person the cell phone # and any other helpful info as to where they can find him

Call him or go to his house and tell him not to do it. He may just need to know someone still loves him. After you've talked him out of it, get him some help, like a physiologist.

Life is a gift from God. The person needs prayer, desperately.
Please call a minister and/or a ministry that will pray. There are of course suicide preventions centers, also.

call the police in his town....they will go there and try to help. You could also call the suicide hotline and ask them....should be in the phone book
