When i wash their backs, they say ooooh, ahhh and they want more. They REALLY do enjoy it and i would like to know the reason out of curiosity why it feels so good for them.
Does anybody know???

Their bodies are old. They probably have many aches and pains. Also they're probably lying in bed or sitting in a chair for long periods of time. That causes stiffness and aches. In long term care many don't have regular visitors and often no physical contact except in a nursing/medical way.

Body aches and pains hon.If all they do is lie around and if they have tight muscles or joint problems or muscle pains this is why it feels good to them.Dont you like having YOUR back rubbed?Imagine if no one rubbed your back for 40 yrs and you had all these aches and pains.Youd probably enjoy it too!

I think it might be "the human touch" A lot of the seniors don't have much touching. And who doesn't like a back rub????
