Missouri beat IL so by your logic you would have to say that MO is better than The OSU. OU beat MO so you would have to say that they are better than OSU also.

Not only is Ohio State NOT the best team, they aren't even close to being the best team. There are 5 teams in the SEC alone who are all better than OSU. Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, LSU & even Arkansas I think would beat them. I would also say that Missouri, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, USC and Oklahoma would probably all beat Ohio State if they played. They are probably the 11th or 12th best team in the country, if that. They play in a terribly weak Big 10 conference, still managed to lose to Illinois at home and look at their pathetic non-league schedule - Youngstown State, Akron, Washington, Kent State....are you kidding me?! These other teams also have to play a conference title game which OSU gets a pass on from being in the Big 10. If this team somehow ends up in the title game, it will be an absolute joke and I hope they get run right off the field even worse than they did by Florida.

I'm a die hard Buckeye too... but, I'm not going to say Ohio State is the best team in college football. There are teams out there with undefeated records still that we will never see. However, I do not agree with the majority of the country that Ohio State is overrated, in fact I believe they are highly over looked and are tarnished for life for the "game" last year (which that was a totally different team people!!! I don't know why everyone doesn't understand that! Texas was a totally different team 2 years ago too and no one b**** about that!)
Anyway, I think America will be surprised come January 1st or January 7th where it won't be the "blow out" expected.
GO BUCKS! And all of you people who hate Ohio State, go ahead and give me a thumbs down just because I'm for them.
Oh and in response to the "Michigan fan" if you want to bring stats into who is the better team, I'll be more than willing to run them for you. Let me know if you need help. The only good thing Michigan had going for them was John Cooper.

Yes without a doubt. Missouri beat Kansas fairly easily but Ohio State would be undefeated were it not for a missed call on the catch in Illinois. OSU has easily beaten every team they have played this year with the exception of Illinois and they are the best team. (BTW, our defense is the best in the country and James Laurinaitis is the best defensive player this year.) West Virginia beats Pitt and Mizzou loses to Okie. Ohio State plays W. Virginia in a battle of the borders and wins, 37-14.

glassflower hit the nail, I will enjoy watching the Buckeyes beat USC in the Rose Bowl or Georgia (the best team in the SEC this year) in the National Championship Game.
To the moron about championship games, just a note your coaches hate that conference championship game, until your Universities want to give up that revenue you will be stuck.
Also Ohio State is playing USC the next 2 years, will you all quit your whining then.

No they are not and here's why....The bcs system is set up so that the Big 10 champion will easily have a better chance to make it to the national champ game then any conference with a championship game. Therefore a high bcs ranking. Ohio St proved last year that they are pretenders, even with a heisman trophy QB they choked and sucked it up in the champ game. Who is the playmaker on the Ohio st team this year? Noone!
I agree they have a shot to make the champ game but if they do West Virginia will be the second team in as many years to wax that azz.

msteel, there was a terrible call, but that isn't why OSU lost. If Mizzou loses, then I would think they deserve a shot at the title. As for OSU being the best team, there isn't a best team this year. There are just a bunch of good teams, no real great teams, except maybe WVU. I wouldn't be suprised to see WVU win it all this year. In fact, I think I said that at the begining of the season.
I would like to see a WVU OSU matchup, our great defense against their great offense, and our decent offense against their decent defense. It would be interesting to see what happened.

Only one problem OSu is a good team but if WVU goes to the BCS game they only have to be the best team on the field that day. I think OSU will have trouble with WVU Speed are they a good team yes, the best we will see.

never.....
calculation states if Mizzuo loses as well as West Vrigina and when LSU beats the Vols Saturday (The BCS favors teams that win their confrence championships) , the Tigers will be #2 and will still have its shot at the BCS and when that happens then we can talk about how "good" Ohio state is....but if not then I hope they are happy being #3
GEAUX TIGERS!

Ohio State are a bunch of bottom feeders! Every year they finish their cupcake schedule 2 weeks early and watch all the real teams beat up on each other and slide their happy ****s right back into the mix after a mediocre season! Ohio State will get their ****s handed to them by any SEC team bowl eligible and should be no higher then 8th!
Play a conference championship you pansies!
