okay so my teacher basically is making everyone write a really short essay about 1 hour in a supermarket. she made us write things we could find in a supermarker and different situations. im really not creative at all. im guessing it has to be descriptive. what stuff should i write about? 1 hour in the supermarket?

I would love to have this kind of assignment! You should describe who you meet there. People are defined by the type of things they buy, their purchases say a lot about them. The organization of a grocery store is often a thought-provoker, you could easily parallel that to the lack of organization in lives. People would be a good thing to talk about.

Write about watching the old lady who looked like she didn't have much money who quietly stashed bricks of cheese and cans of soup in her bag. You could say that you were at first horrified that you were witnessing shoplifting but then realized that the poor lady was probably really hungry, didn't have any money, and you felt bad for her. At the end you could say that you followed her to the checkout counter and paid for her items.
