Cream was an awesome band. Jack Bruce is one of the people who inspired me to pick up the bass guitar. Ginger Baker is probably one of the best drummers ever, and I think Eric Clapton's time in Cream is when he made the best music of his career.
For albums, I will always love Disraeli Gears, but I've been listening to Live Cream Vol. 1 a lot lately. Favorite songs are Sunshine Of Your Love, I Feel Free, Tales Of Brave Ulysses, Swlabr, Politian and Born Under A Bad Sign.
And thanks for reminding me that I need to pick up Never Say Die next time I order music.
Edit: Forgot, add Deserted Cities Of The Heart to favorite songs.

Hell yea
In my opinion Clapton was at his finest in Cream. Instead of buying every Cream album from there original run I bought the boxed set Those Were The Days, the cover resembles Disraelli Gears. The boxed set covers all there albums and has several unreleased tracks including Cream doing a Falstaff Beer commercial.
fav songs: White Room, Sunshine Of Your Love, SWLABR, Tales of Brave Ullyses, Toad, Badge, I Feel Free
if you like drum solo's check out Toad, especially the live version which has a nice Ginger Baker solo.

Oh yeah. Cream was Eric Clapton at his best. His other stuff ranges from terrible to good. Derek and the Dominos was good, as well as the Bluesbreakers and Blind Faith, but I don't see why the guy gets so much acclaim in his solo career!
Jack Bruce is probably one of my favorite bassists. Didn't Eric Clapton just copy his riffs from Jack Bruce's basslines? Oh, and besides being an amazing bassist, Jack Bruce has a great voice as well.
Ginger Baker is a great drummer. I love his drumming, especially in "White Room". Another one of my favorites.
These guys are one of the most talented bands to exist. And they used that talent pretty well too. My favorite album is their debut, and my favorite song is either "Sunshine of Your Love" or "White Room".
Although I would say The Jimi Hendrix Experience is at the top for power trios...

I dunno- as a musician, I completely respect their abilities and their place in the annals of music. However, I never really got into them, even though I grew up in the 70's and was very cognizant of all late 60s bands. I just don't care for their songwriting- nothing particularly interests me about their music. I was far more into Sabbath, Hendrix, Zeppelin, Budgie, Tull, Yes, and Rory Gallagher. I won't turn 'em off if Badge pops up on FM, but I would never throw on a Cream CD. But Baker was a mother!!
*edit*- Ever hear the cover of "Tales of Brave Ulysses" by Trouble? YO!!

WQ1: ROH. regrettably, i won't be in a position to arise with an evidence purely by using fact i've got no longer watched Chikara and that i've got purely very at present began staring at DGUSA. WQ2: i think of for the main area, they are doing positive, because a minimum of we see new faces interior the substantial adventure photograph. uncooked is specializing in Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, and The Miz as their youthful superstars, and on an identical time as i'm positive with that, I desire they pushed Jack Swagger and Evan Bourne. For SD, i think of Morrison could get a greater physically powerful push as he's particularly been techniques-blowing.

Oh Darth, you had to ask? For as much coffee that I drink, Cream is a staple (pun intended). It's all good. Disraeli Gears and Wheels of Fire come to mind first.

I agree with the first poster Sunshine of Your Love is the best song! The guitar is amazing...the song is so psychedelic; it really sounds like the times!
