Thanks CoachT ,
I am most likely looking at advertising and marketing. Out of all of the majors available communications seems to be the best fit for me. I am probably going to do marketing with some business.

Many people are going to tell you that it's not a marketable major. Every article explaining what employers are looking for these days put "the ability to communicate orally and in writing" as the number 1 thing they want. hmmmmmm Don't tell everyone though, we don't want too much competition for our jobs. Let them major in more useful things like 'business' so they can be like everyone else applying for a job. ☺

Your choices for a BA/BS in communication are many. What you want to do first is determine which area of communication you want to get the degree in. Some schools are more geared to some areas than others. If you want to concentrate in media/broadcasting then you need a school with a TV station. If you want to concentrate in media theory or law then somewhere with a strong theory program.

If you're planning grad school, picking a school that has a comms grad program will help a lot.

Almost every college now has comms in some form - make your choice based on the whole school and not just the comms dept. Much of a BA/BS is interdisciplinary so you'll be spending time all around the school.
