It depends on what you are looking for.
Miami is a fast paced place, while Ft. Myers Beach is way more laid back.

I live in miami and I've visited friends in Fort Myers.
If you like small towns, then miami isn't for you. You couldn't pay me to live in Fort Myers. It's got a large trailer park, long country roads with rednecks and dirty truckstops.
White trash central. Ew.
