I use an online service. I absolutely love it. They mail all the cards for me after I design them. I can even put my own signature and picture in it. It's so fun and speeds up the process. It use to take me 5 hours to do my Christmas cards and now I can do them in 1 hour. I send a lot of cards.

I choose cards that I like.sometimes the picture is the same on the front of all of the cards in the pack, and other times they differ. It is not based on whether the cards are cheap or expensive, but I do prefer them to be a good size - not too small coz otherwise they look like gift cards trying to be grown up! I agree about the cheap looking ones - somehow you can always pick the cheap one that someone sent to you when it is staring at you from your mantlepiece (or wherever you put your cards)
My decision is made on whether
1. I can afford them at the time (always a factor) After Christmas and mid-year sales are fantastic for good quality cheap cards.
2. How many cards there are in a pack - whether I have to buy one pack or two.
3. If I buy a multi-picture pack, I have to like at least 90% of them - I can always send the not-too-great ones to the obligatory relatives that I'm not very close to! lol.
I love the idea of adding glitter in the card, but more often than not, it has gone all over the floor before I have had a chance to realise that it was there in the first place, and then it has lost its impact because not only did I NOT see it in the card in the first place but I also have to sweep it up!

Yes, usually about 60 or so. I go to a certain, favorite store to buy them and since I'm a member I can get them for 50% off the regular prices or get 2 boxes for the price of one. Then there are the cost of stamps. I send them out along with notes thanking friends and family for their love and to wish them Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I spend enough money on gifts, decorations, food, and pictures of my son for Christmas. I usually get cards from the dollar store. However, the retail price on them usually says $15-20 a pack and the dollar stores has them for $1 a pack. They aren't ugly or anything...they are actually quite nice and affordable. I often pick ones out that I would like to receive myself.

I go to the stores after christmas and get the best cards I can. I try to get hallmark or american greetings. After christmas they are always a lot cheaper. I just save them for the next year.
I have found some really nice glitter cards with nice greetings at walmart and I get them after christmas.

I usually buy real nice ones on the day after Christmas to send out for next year. That way, they are not quite so expensive.

I always buy the Hallmark Cards from Wal-Mart for immediate family and close friends. I like finding cards that express how I feel.

I usually either send personalized cards that I've made myself or cards with a picture on them that truly reflects me and my personality. Cost is secondary - so sometimes they're inexpensive, sometimes a little more.
