Anybody else want to expound on how much better of a Vocalist Andrew Wood was than Eddie Vedder is?
(No offence to the Pearl jam fans but..no Vedder fan here)

Mother Love Bone is one of those bands I wish had different circumstances around them and were able to have a longer career. Andrew Wood brought a huge talent that vedder just can't match.
There isn't a bad song of their Apple disc
Heartshine, Stardog Champion, Holy Roller are among my favorites

I love Mother Love Bone, I definitely like Wood over Vedder. Its too bad that many don't know them. Even though they only put out one album, its a grunge classic. My fave songs are Capricorn Sister and Stargazer.

Hard to say, Mike. I admit, I do not own a whole record from MLB. All we know is Chloe Dancer [Crown of Thorns]. I guess they are the reason all of those Seattle bands blew up back in the early 90's. I say at the very least they were a vital element in opening up a new music scene.

Dude they were so much better than Pearl Jam.Chole Dancer/Crown of Thorns.Gentle Grove is pretty awesome also.They were so far ahead of their time.Sad that he past on so young.
Thanks for talking about such a great band.You deserve the points.I'll have to dig out the greatist hits cd I bought for $4.I would have paid more.

I loved them...A LOT. I like Pearl Jam as well, but you can't help but wonder how far they would have gone if things turned out differently...oh well.

I love Mother Love Bone. They're oneof my favourites, despite their tiny catalogue of songs.
It's such a shame Andrew died so early [may he rest in peace], because i really think they had a /lot/ more to give.
I've never been too fond of Pearl Jam myself.
I can't pick favourites, but i've been listening to "This Is Shangri la" a lot recently, so we'll say that - for now.
