France is an ok place, it has its problems just like any other country, but it is not better or less racist, or treats their poor any better, they have riots every month from minorities and poor. Here is just the latest example:

Next time you talk about the great equality of socialist societies, you may want to look at the actions of the people who are supposedly better off in their society. France has its advantages, but stop pretending its a Utopia.

It is in no way better than America. It has some serious problems not the least is the Muslim population wanting to live under Sharia Law. Remember those riots months ago? They have laws which forbid employers from firing employees except under extreme circumstances. So they have entire floors filled with unwanted employees they must pay for sitting there doing nothing. Doesn't sound like freedom to me.

Actually I know of NO ONE that thinks France is better than America, except maybe France. A lot of Americans feel France is weak, and even stopped buying a lot of items made in France when they were giving the US a hard time at the UN.

France and the U.S. are more alike than either cares to admit. However, the main difference is that France was never an "immigrant nation."

Demographics mean that France does need an influx of labor from other parts of the world, although their homogenized culture, as great as it is, is not well adapted for the integration of ethnically diverse immigrants.

I'm not one to say whether total integration should be necessary or not, but it is obvious that the French prefer it this way.

Who would even try to compare France and America? Like chalk and cheese. Personally I would much prefer to travel to France (but that's only for cultural reasons) and every country has riots, racism

Wooper : If it is not for France America would have remained a British Colony well in to the 20 th Century. Remember who
gifted the Statue of Liberty to US and when .

France is better for the export of equalité, fraternité and liberté whereas US is better for the export of democracy.
