That's what all the spoilers were saying but now all of the sudden it is going to be a romantic story. Well, if it turns out she is in fact dead, then how in the world is that romantic?

Natalia Livingston is in contract till at least May 2008 and will stay around. They haven't hinted at what capacity so much but that her storyline will continue with Nikolas. He will see her, but not as a ghost--he will be able to touch her and feel her and is completely solid unlike Alan.
They are boasting that this will be the most romantic storyline ever, so it's a mystery.
I have a feeling that she might not even really be dead considering the history of the Cassadines. Remember that years ago, Stefan and Katharine had a Bacchanalia similar to the most recent one where Katharine died and eventually came back alive...that could be a hint.....

Emily's ghost will remain in Port Charles until May. Her ghost may be more involved in the show than Alan's. Here are some spoilers if you are interested : http://www.soapcentral.com/gh/scoop.php

My guess is that Emily is not even dead. Helena and the other Cassadines have a habit of faking people's death for various reasons ( Leslie, Stravos, Lucky, Katherine and so on) Emily is just the latest.
The Emily that Nic is seeing now is the "Manifestation of their love" and it will eventually lead him to her. Guza has all ready said it will be General Hospitals most romantic story ever (and given that they are the home of Luke and Laura that is a big boast)

I hope not. It was bad enough when they did it with Alan, who should never have been killed off in the first place. Why is GH turning into Passions all of a sudden?

Well, an article in the newest soap magazine said she is not a ghost and not Nik's conscience. So I do not know what that could mean. It also said this would be an unforgettable love story! I don't know what it is she could be but they did say she was dead. Maybe she is just in his imagination?!

That would be "nice". Her & Alan getting/helping the rest of the "cast" into a "reality check"!! Getting everything "straightened out" just in time for Christmas? Would THAT ever happen?!?
IF Nicolas is the only one who can "interact" with her it's all part of Nicolas being another Cassidine "nut-case". I hope she can help convince him to get the "help" he needs, to break the chain of "Cassidine Crazies". He'll have to "save" his son Spencer from that "curse", too.

Yes, yet another ghost on GH. can't wait. And she's corporal. So Nik gets to hug her and kiss her and love her and we get to sit and watch it.

According to the spoilers I've read, you are right. She is supposed to be dead, but be 'around' til May.

that is what I read, her contract is up pretty soon, so I think they are keeping her around as a ghost.
