you thought they were ugly, annoying, asked too many questions, or just because?

I had a kid (9th grade) who cursed me and pulled his fist back at me... and generally just disrupted the class day in and day out - so he wasn't my favorite - but every day is new and I don't dislike him.
Remember - almost all of this behavior is due to acting out what is going on at home, etc. and we have to keep that in mind.

I try real hard NOT to. I have kids of many ages. I teach basic computer classes to grades 2-8. Some of them are troublesome, noisy, talkative, or just plain twits!

But I feel as if I do a great job. The school has continuosly asked me back, and I am in my 3rd year.

For the most part, I am still able to keep fairness in my class room. I try my darndest NOT to show any favoritism.

Each teacher's class has all different types of kids not only in terms of behaviour but their different backgrounds, belonging to different cultures etc...
So when a teacher enters a class, he or she knows there are all sorts of kids..., so they enter the class to deal with all sorts of kids and keep their personal prejudices at home...that is what a good teacher would do...
But all said and done. there could be few teachers who could get impacted by bad experiences... but personally, a good teacher should still try to keep the feelings at bay...

Honestly, I have enough distance in age and attitude from my students that I can see them more clearly than they see themselves. Often I see through annoying behavior to the pain and uncertainty they are experiencing, and I feel more sympathy than anything else. Being a kid these days is so hazardous that I just want to see everyone make it through in one piece.

I'll be honest here...yes there were kids that annoyed me. I guess you could say I disliked them, although that sounds kinda harsh. Let's just say I would be happy if they were absent. Kids like that never are though cause they annoy their parents too! LOL

i find the "sweet side" of all my students...and only bad behavior annoys me....and when it really starts to get to me, i just remember what it is i like about them....

i teach young kids and i can't imagine there being a child out there i can't find some good in.

Never,
I am not saying that there were never students I didn't like. Of course there were. However, they had to work at it.

Some kids are harder to deal with than others, but I really like all my students.
