It depends on what your actual number grades are and what ranges your teacher uses to determine the letter grade.

It depends how the final grade is calculated.
Each university has a different grade point. While F is always a zero, in some places A is a 4 and in other places, A is 9 (A+ being 10)
90%*9 + 10%*0 = 8.1 (A-)
However, within a subject, the final note could be calculated with the percent equivalent. If A is equivalent to (let us say) 85% and F is equivalent to 40%, then
0.9*85 + .1*40 = 76.5 + 4 = 80.5 (still A-).
Finally, some course also have as a requirement that you must pass all aspects. An F in a test could be sufficient to give an overall F (we see that in some public-safety oriented courses).
It is always good to check, at the beginning of the course, what are the rules for grading (even within a university, it may change from course to course).

It depends on where between 0 and 59 percent your Fs were and where between 90 and 100 percent your As were.

I need more information, but running on worse case scenario:
.9(.9) + .1(0) = 81%
that's the worse you can have.
