He is on probation for waving a gun at someone a year ago, so he can't have guns, so apparently his weapon of choice in the bedroom is a machete....
The article I read said that someone kicked in his bedroom door - not exactly the work of a burgler or thief trying to be stealthy. I'm guessing that whoever broke in knew him and new he couldn't be armed.

Everyone I know carries some kind of weapon next to their bed. Maybe it's from growing up in the city. I have a turkish bastard sword.

he already had a break in last week, he's had trouble with people stealing things from him, its kind of weird but he needs it. show some respect
