After the first five minutes of suckage - pull the fire alarm...
They will issue everyone a FREE PASS as you leave the theatre. SELL this pass to one of the chumps in the ticket line ;););););)

Really? "The Mist" was really that bad? I was going to watch it this weekend but now I'm having second thoughts. The only way you could have gotten a full refund was if you left exactly 30 minutes into the movie. If you watched 40 minutes of it and then asked for a refund they wouldn't give it to you, but 30 minutes is usually their policy. Also may I suggest, before going to watch a movie next time check out this site: rottentomatoes.com
Each movie is given a "grade" according to critics' reviews, and I must say that those reviews are actually very accurate. The Mist got a 68% in this case, which is almost a failing grade! I always check out this site before any movie.

It's not well known, but you can get a refund on a movie.
Your leverage is greatest when you're watching the movie in the theater.
As soon as you determine the movie is not for you, go to customer service with your ticket.
If you politely ask for a refund, you should get one.
You may have to sign something.
After the fact will probably be harder, but since you feel strongly about it, give it a try ASAP.
Don't wait a week or two - by then it won't matter.
Good luck on it.

that's something you should take up with a manager at the movie theater -- you are most likely to get a refund if you leave before the movie is over.

It's your fault in the first place seeing the movie.
Choose more carefully when going to the theater.

the real problem is...taste. your taste in movies is not like everyone else, so it is impossible to say everyone will like all movies....refund? not likely! you take a CHANCE and this time..you lost...sorry!
