Backstage.com - casting search
Actorsaccess.com - set up an account and search the breakdowns
ActorsEquity.org - casting call

Those are in my opinion the best resources if you dont have an agent. All are industry standards and legit information. You have to pay to see all the info on backstage, but at least you can search to see if there's anything worth it. On ActorsAccess you have to pay if you want to submit electronically but you can sometimes submit hardcopies on your own dime or if they have a lot for you, consider subscribing to Showfax (another industry standard and completely legit). It's a sides service. For $68 a year they'll fax you sides for your auditions if they're available and you get to submit electronically for auditions on actorsaccess for free for the year. great deal.

As for what are they, when they are, etc... You'll have to look them up, see what's in your area and what you breakdown for.

good luck,
Marianne

Yes, they are very easy to get, just have your AGENT recommend you.
