Right now, when I want to see which of my favorite bands is playing, I wade through their myspace or home pages and check. Takes forever. Does anyone know of a faster way to see what bands are playing in my area? I'm hoping for something that allows me to search by genre, radius, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Check your local radio stations. I am sure they can help. I am sure most radio stations have a Concert Connection Hotline.

If you are in the great state of Texas, try lonestarmusic.com

You can search venues there. There are tons of venues around Waco and Austin. And you are not too far from classic Texas places like Gruene Hall in New Braunfels and Billy Bob's in Fort Worth.

Here's an example. This is the lonestarmusic link for Midnight Rodeo in Austin.

Hope this helps.

at ticketmaster.com when you search for an artist they give you the option of entering your email address, and they send you email updates of when the performer will be in your area.
