is it true that through sex a girl can delay her period? my girlfreind hasnt had her period but she claims that its due to the sex. is this true, or should i be verry worried.......

would it matter if i told yall that she is very skinny? i remember at one point she was so skinny that she stoped having one altogether, (not anorexic, just the brink i guess) and that was before we were even together.

Okay, the following things are things that have delayed my periods....stress, diet, starvation, exercise, weight gain, weigh loss and pregnacy....though I have never been pregnant. If she is not pregie, then it is one of the others, give her some multi vitamins, be sure that she is not over stressed, and eating properly. If it keeps up or she starts getting dizzy and passingout, seek a medical profession!

I have not heard that sex delays a period. Aren't you using Birth Control?

You must be young... its this a serious question? It can be delayed if she is pregnant. If its not that she might be on a certain birth control- not taking the "fake pills" from her birth control or on the shot. If shes not on birth control umm she should be... and you should wear a condom. Unless she might have ovarian cysts. My suggestions... go get a home pregnancy test and have her take it shes probably too scared to. If its positive go to the doctor if its not go to the doctor to make sure everythings ok.
For the future if shes NOT pregnant she needs to be on birth control or if shes not YOU need to wear a condom. Planned parenthood is confidential and you both can go there without them telling your parents.

It does not delay her period unless she is pregnant. Her body has it's own cycle and sex has nothing to do with it. I would be worried if I were you.

Yeah it would make it not happen if she is Pregnant. Unless she is only a few days late then it can be stress. But by sounds of it your gonna be a daddy

No it cannot. But girls' periods can change for all sorts of reasons, not just pregnancy. Being thin is one of those reasons. Stress is another.

ok yes it can mess it up if she hasn't had sex in awhile my hubby is in the army and every time he is away even if it's for a week when we do have sex it messes mine up mine was 3 weeks late and i'm not prego ( i took 5 test we r tryin i lost a baby sept.)
