I think your question is flawed.
Bush's allies have been voted into office in Germany (Merkel), France (Sarkozy), and Canada (Harper). Berlusconi lost in Italy, but that wasn't due to the war. Blair left office as he was PM for 10 years. His successor, Gordon Brown, has proven to be highly unpopular.
Nicholas Sarkozy was elected on a platform of being closer to the United States.
Japan, South Korea, and Poland continue to be staunch allies.
Obviously, you don't have a wide enough world view to understand what is going on.

The Brittish are still with us in Iraq, and the Aussies will still be there for another year until we don't really need them there anymore.
Politics in Australia seem to be smoke and mirrors just like politics in the rest of the world.

Nope...more like expected it from weak and less than staunch allies.
Liberals may BS the EU, Britain, the Commonwealth, but Americans aren't so easily hoodwinked ! Given the weak nature of all those countries that are so strangled by socialist domestic policies...no wonder they don't have the balls to see this thru.

The only thing that could keep democrat from wining is Hillary. If she get nomination less than 50% odds she will win general, and if she don't she might run as independent like Lieberman. Returning to foreign side let's not forget to thank Spanish voters for not letting 'terror' attack from changing course that got them out years ago.
