Hey,
My dad had got 2 bearded dragons for free from a friend, and about a month ago, one died from who knows what.
Before that one died, he had stopped eating, and seemed like he had trouble seeing where food was.

Now the other bearded dragon stopped eating about 2 days ago. We gave him a pinky, and have given him crickets to eat, but will not eat them.

I don't want this one to die too =(
What should we do????????

We have tried feeding him greens and veggies too, but it won't work.

And my dad said it isn't worth it to take him to the vet, so I'm kinda mad about that.

I don't just want to sit here and watch him die....any home remedies or anything??

Thanks for the answers so far

both of them are probably impacted.
1) NEVER feed beardies pinkies...the bones are very hard for them to digest and this can cause impaction.
2) never feed them mealworms..this can also cause impaction.
3) NEVER put them on sand. I know it sounds different from what people say, but this is one of the leading causes of impaction in reptiles. When beardies eat or they are just licking around in the their environment out of curiousity, they will end up taking in sand, and since they cant digest it, it will collect in their intestines over time and eventually kill it.

I would try giving your bearded dragon a warm bath. Fill the tub with warm water that is warm but not hot on the back of your hand...then fill it up to your beardies elbow and soak him in it. Then gently massage his stomach to try to release whatever is in his stomach.
You can also try feeding him canned pumpkin with a syringe and superworms covered in olive oil.
Hopefully this will help.
If he poops...its a good sign.
I would go to repticzone.com for any other questions you have...they are experts at this kind of stuff and they helped me a lot when I got my leopard gecko and bearded dragon

This could be a symptom of sooo many different problems! Heating, lighting, substrate, humidity, diet, supplements, etc must all be correct in order for them to survive. Making sure they don't have high parasite numbers, which can increase and cause illness in times of stress (such as moving to a new home), is recommended. Find a knowledgeable reptile vet. Check your setup by reading the care sheets at these sites and make sure everything is correct. Do not feed pinkies--they are too high in fat and can cause illness. Try superworms instead. Also, a fresh salad is necessary daily.

You might want to get a bearded dragon food. Cricketts and pinkies shouldn't be all they eat.

On the other hand, you might be dealing with parasites and he will need a vets attention.

Separate your dragons and your problem would be solved. they are not meant to stay jointly till they're mating, that's lots too early for a 4 month previous dragon, they dont attain sexual adulthood till around a million 3 hundred and sixty 5 days.

He might be too cold. Does he have a heat source under or above his tank? (Reptile Heat pad or heat lamp?) He might not be eating because of that. Maybe he's cold.
That's terrible that he doesn't think it's worth taking to the vet. ...Guess he's not an animal lover, huh?
