I have never beaten the odds( at the casinos, that is), We have been to casinos in Monte Carlo,Atlantic City, Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada, The Bahamas, and on ship during cruises and have yet to walk away winners. In the important things in life I'm way ahead of the odds; Have a great woman, three handsome, good looking ,tall intelligent sons, three fantastic daughters-in -law, five wonderful grand children who take after their parents. Am living on borrowed time and enjoying every minute of it. Incidentally, my father said every year after 40 was borrowed,

When you think about it, practically everyone beats the odds every single day that they're alive to talk about it. If people really understood all the things that have to go 100% right JUST for them to be born as a healthy infant in the first place, they would probably be astounded.

Not into gambling that is silly, nothing to prove, don't need it.
But have odds stacked against me in other ways in life, and yes as you say beat the odds.
Sometimes it may be difficult but stand up for what you believe in and you can win.

Beat the odds? I suppose everyone has one time in their life. Not that great, everyone does it... Unless you beat really big odds like cancer... in which case. Very cool. <3

More or less. Had open heart surgery for a calcium blocked artery carrying blood to my lungs in 1957. They had no idea what they were even doing. It kept me alive till they science caught up with what they wanted to do. Had the second surgery and am still ticking more than thirty yrs after the second one.
