What do you think if I did this at school tomorrow? If during lunch I jumped up onto the table and started singing...

"And we can build this thing together
Stand this stormy weather
Nothings gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothings gonna stop us,
Nothings gonna stop us now!"

In a musical it would work for you. Everyone would jump right in and perform flawlessly. Too bad life can't be like that. Like, "singing in the rain" . How many of us has felt like singing and dancing in the rain? But etiquette doesn't allow it. I guess we are all too stuffy. Many would think you were mentally deficient. Yeah, the lunch table would not be the place. But still too bad we can't just break into dance and song on the streets without being deemed outcasts.

People will think you've gone crazy....depends if your popular or not...you'll either be ridiculed or you'll set a sort of funny joke to go around....I say go for it...live life and who cares what others say...my whole table at school is known for doing stuff like that and there's mixed reactions...we all stick together though even if the idea wasn't the best choice (lol)

Kids would laugh on the outside. Some teachers and the cooks would laugh on the outside. The principal might laugh on the inside, but you would still be in trouble for standing on the table.

If you've got a good singing voice, I think you'll be ok. However, if the vocal chords are really bad, expect a lot of laughter.
P.S. My 8 year old says "You're gonna get into trouble."

Depends who you are in your school, if you are one of the people who already gets made fun of and picked on kids are going to use it as another excuse to be mean to you. If you are one of the "popular" kids or everybody knows you are just crazy like that, people will probably just laugh, not at you but with you.

kids jump on tables and sing at my school all the time.
here's what usually happens:
first, people think its funny.
second, it wears off and nobody's laughing anymore.
then, a teacher tells you to get off the table.
the end.
not very exciting is it?
but i say go for it, you're not getting any younger and life sure as hell isnt going to make itself fun lol

In terms of the adults-Detention. I would assume you have a rule against standing on tables or at least disturbing lunch.

In terms of your peers- most likely getting your *** kicked for acting queer. Isn't school great?
