You only need one Guild Wars to play, as long as you aren't getting Eyes of the North.
The three other games are stand-alone, and can be played without any owning another game. If you want to buy moer in the future, they can be bought and played in any order.
Eyes of the North requires another game because it is an expansion, and its content is only available to level 20 characters.
The stand-alone games are:
-Guild Wars: Prophecies (or just Guild Wars) was the first game. I believe it has the longest story line, and remains popular. It is also the only game with a story connection to Eyes of the North. (But you don't necessarily need it to play.)
-Guild Wars: Factions is supposed to be the best for PvP options, but I don't own it and can't say anything.
-Guild Wars: Nightfall is the easiest to play solo, because of customizable characters called heroes. It also has the fastest leveling curve.
My personally favorite is Nightfall followed by Prophecies.
A profession is in Guild Wars what other games would call a class. Every character has to have at least ONE profession, and every character has the option to have two. You need the three first games to have access to ALL of them, but that isn't necessary if you don't want everything.

you could start with any of the 1st 3 video games as they are all self sufficient of one yet another. once you're right into a mix of PvP and PvE (participant vs participant and participant vs environmnet) Then the 1st recreation prophecies might probably be right for you because it has a reliable stability of the two. once you're a PvP in easy terms then Factions could be the perfect suited marketing campaign for you and ultimately, once you're usually a PvE kinda individual dusk could be a thank you to circulate. there is another enlargement talked approximately as Eye of the North although to play that one you could desire to have already got between the 1st 3 campaigns to play it. as quickly as you have downloaded the applying and opened your account with the CD key, all your suggestions is saved on the server which permits you to DL the applying to any laptop and play your account from everywhere there's a working laptop or laptop accessible so you might play... My very own in demand is dusk yet lower back, the marketing campaign for you would be the only with the perfect mix of your chosen enjoying sort. appreciate!
