It's more than pretty, my Kate.
Pretty is easy.
The look is that intangible thing.
It's what gives a girl the ability to stop a guy in his tracks.
Or anyone, for that matter.
It's that ability to turn a straight girl gay! Or cause a traffic accident. Or industrial mishap.
It's also known as pizzazz. Usually present with an air of confidence.
More than just a pretty face.

this is a line from the song "The Look" by Roxette, a very popular song from the 1980s. To me it always meant she has that "come hither/sexual" look. But that's mostly based on the song lyrics to the The Look by roxette.
However, in your particular quote, I think it probably means that the person has that look of the moment. Whatever is the fashion or style. It can be pretty, but not necessarily. In the modeling context, it means, that whatever style or image the designer, or modeling agency is looking for, this person has it.

It means she has a specific look to her; I realize that it sounds like I'm just repeating your question in an answer form, but that is honestly what it is.
In this context it means that she has the appearance to be a model. The implication is she is thin, tall, and fashionable. Not all models are necessarily pretty, rather, they have specific features that are memorable, etc.
