How would the answer be different if you were asked to find the degrees and minutes for the noon sight at 3:26 am GMT and the noon sight at 3:26 pm GMT? is there a difference?

Noon sight for 3:26 PM GMT occurs at
15°(3 + 26/60 hr) =
45° + (390/60)° =
45° + 4° + (30/60)° =
49° 30' W Longitude

Noon sight for 3:26 AM GMT occurs at
180° - 49° 30' =
130° 30' E longitude

It depends on which time zone you are in.
You have to convert your local time to GMT time and it has to be noon in your local time zone to be a noon sighting.
However,if you should have a world map marked in latitude and longitude,you might be able to answer your question by dead reckoning a plot east and west of the prime meridian.
