Especially one with tracking devises implanted in them???

I find it hard to believe that Americans would EVER let ANY government get away with this... but I would like to hear what type of appeasement arguments I'm going to have to act on next year.

Your thoughts... and beliefs on this?!?!

What's the big deal? I highly doubt that the government cares one little bit about what 98% of the population is doing. Do you really think you are so important that Uncle Sam is going to be following every move you make? They have good enough ways to spy on you if they want, they won't waste time trying to sneak a chip in your card. I think it's a good idea as long as illegal aliens don't get one.

Funny how people say..."If you already have a social security number, what are you worried about?"
Well if a social security number is the same thing as being proposed for a national ID, then why do we need one?
it is either more than just a social security card, in which case I don't want it, or it is the same, in which case, it is a waste of tax dollars.

I've never understood the argument against them. You get a driver's license from the state, what's the difference?

And no card can hold a "tracking device". You can implant an RFID chip, but if that's you're worry I got bad news for you: millions of products already have them. Metro cards, consumer products, military ID, work badges, etc.

Why should people born here need a national I.D.?

I have a certified birth certificate that says I was born in this country.

A National ID card like our Social Security Card or Passport?

There won't be any tracking devices placed into a National ID card. The government isn't large enough to track all of those cards and the technology won't allow them to seek out individual cards.

Stop panicking and listening to all of the conspiracy theories.

Hmm, I think that would be a good way to find and deport those who are staying here past there welcome. So yes I would like to see immigrants implanted with them.

Oh, and we can implant birth control at the same time until they depart or become citizens.

Great idea!

Sadly, some Americans are quite complacent about that. The National ID is horrible, I won't allow it.
