Use the following kinematics equation:

2 a d = v^2 - vo^2

where

a is the acceleration (what you're looking for)
d is the distance traveled (.35 m)
v is the final velocity (zero)
vo is the initial velocity (30 m/s)

Solve for the acceleration a. Then the force F = ma.
