Ah yes. The Stand is a very good one. My absolute favorite author is Dean Koontz. He's so good that I can't even pick a favorite among his books, my favorite is always just the book I'm reading at the time. He always writes horror/suspense books, and almost every one has some sort of "Love at first sight" senario. I've read Dark Rivers of the Heart and Tick Tock very recently, and both were extreamly good. I really suggest you read Dean Koontz. I'm planning on reading The Good Guy once I finish the book I am currently on.

I also like to read John Saul. He's a horror novelist, and his books are very detailed and gruesome (while Dean Koontz has what I have dubbed 'implied gore') They are also quite touching in a sense of he realtes very well to their losses. I would have to say that my favorite of his books was The Homing, because it's such a chilling consept. You should read both authors, and I can tell you would like them by your favorite books <3

Yes, I like to read, but I have a hard time getting started on books. Once I start though, I can't stop. My favorite books are probably some of John Grisham's books from the 1990s, but it's really hard for me to pinpoint a favorite.
