well the camaro started on 68 i believe or 67 whatever its close well the tranny is going to be real cheep to fix the tranny's in the early muscle cars if manual are easy to get running again for alot of them you can buy a complete kit and get it done. i know alot about that subject i graduated UTI's powertrain with an A. not sure on the engine or the year sorry i could help.
HERE IS SOME RANDOM INFO on your subject
even if you do buy it i would pull out that engine and sell it you need a real big block for that car, its what it deserves. sure you will get 3 miles to the gallon or maybe even five but its pure muscle in its best form for the camaro.
there my fav car and what im about to explain is my uncles camaro 69 ss.
1969 camaro ss
427 big block
dual quad intake (two four barrles)
bigger cam
performance pistons
runs 9.2 in a 1/4 mile
at 166 miles an hour
with no NOS or extra boosts
do it YANKO style and go for the big block 427's right out of the vettes then follow up with a rebuild of performanc parts and a new intake with the dual quads and you will se what it is to have muscle. also when finished it wieghs less then the corvette of the same year with the same modifications.

The Chevy Tri-power has been around for decades. Pontiac had em' factory. So did Ford. Mopar had the 6 pack. My bro in law had a 69 Superbee with a 440 6-pack. It was hard on ring gears and drive shafts. Studebaker had em in the 50's from the factory. I probably missed some. The Dodge Red Ram had a 6 pack in the 50's.
Chevy used their small blocks in just about everything so pretty much anything could have factory 3- deuces. I don't know if anyone but Mopar used them after 1970.

Camaro's never came from the factory with a six-pack or tri-carb....older Corvettes did but that was on a big block 427 motor. 350 is a small block, 402 is a bored out 396 big block. It's up to you whether or not it's worth the price.

No Chevrolets came with a 3x2 carb set up from the factory with a small block engine. The only Chevrolets with a 3x2 carb set up was the 1967-1969 Corvette 427. Anything else is aftermarket. Unless the car is in really good sound shape bodywise I'd pass on it.

There is no way we can tell what you have from this question, but go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Camaro and compare it to the pictures. No, it does not have factory six pack or a 402, at least not from the factory.
Good Luck
PS Just be aware that car restoration can REALLY get expensive. Been there, done that DON'T unless you really are into work.

Don't buy the car, it's completely worthless. Let me know where it is so I can go look at it. Really, I would never buy it. Who would want an old Camaro with a six pack? Only some deranged motorhead.

No, my husband and that i have been elevating little ones and we were both operating experts. I "tasted" some issues after our youngsters were grown, knowledgeable and lived of their personal houses. It changed into consistently basically to adventure, and that i changed into fortunate no longer to get hung up with something. hashish is way less of a concepts replacing drug than booze. I smoke it yet do no longer evaluate it truly is "doing drugs".
