It's not work or leisure but what one likes and enjoys and into which one gets engrossed while doing it.There are people who like their jobs so much that they never get tired of it but get bored on holidays or off-days.There is a saying that if your job is your hobby(what you like, love and enjoy doing)then you don't have to work to earn your living.

Sometimes I've had the opposite experience. When I really enjoy working with my co-workers time flies. And when I'm not at work - and I have nothing to do - time can drag.
BUT more often than not I've had it the other way around. Just the thought of going to work slows down the time for people - because not many people fancy doing work. And then if you know what is for dinner that night - and you like it - time goes even slower at work, no?
Eating a nice dinner is better than sitting behind a desk. So naturally, time flies when you are having fun.

Because you're bored at work and so time seems to slow down and when you're having fun, time flies.

Have you considered changing jobs. It just sounds like you are bored at work.
