If you make it sound really good, I might buy it.

Just don't tell me too much detail, otherwise there won't be any point watching it...

"Green Mile" < Lol, has anyone NOT seen that film? Always damn repeated, yes, grest film, But not when i now know the script of by heart!

"Casino" (Not the one with the Bond in his tight wighties, , i swear thats the only thing people remember about that film) hmm.. got side tracked

Casino, Starring Robert De Niro , Sharon Stone (she gets pretty annoying though) and Joe Pesci,

Why>? really enjoyable film and i know 3 hours long, but this time flew by, One sentence plot = Robert and Joe are brothers? might be cousins, and Robert is trying to start afresh which he now runs a casino, but Joe is stuck in his ways, and the attention he is bringin is affected Robert.

Departed (Thriller? i guess, not really an Action film)

Starring, Matt Damon, Leo Di'Caprio and Jack Nicholoson

(Ok its a newbie, been in Cinemas a few years ago) But wow, this film does tick a few boxes, the best thing about this film is its Not predicatble, you think you know how its going to end...............and then your wrong

The acting in it is great, Plot in a sentence = Good Cop + Bad Cop + Baddy = 9/10

A Funny Film

White Chicks, starring both Wayne brothers (co-directed the Scary Movies) film is about 2 Agents sacked, who then try and solve a crime to bring some credit back,

Ok, the films plot is crap, and the acting may not be too good, But it is very funny and did make me feel like peeing with laughter

Horror

Im gonna go with a newbie again, i dont get people who say the Oldies are Good? we have so many on VHS and looking back on them their bollecks! everything about them is terrible, so i do get confused when people say their better.

Hostel (Ok maybe you shouldnt buy this, but if you havn't seen it then "rent" it (online) lmao

Hostel = Gory Fun, its a new approach by directors, one of the first to actually scare you with the thought that its true, i mean some doctors need to research and.......well jsut dont stay in a hostel in Russia (just kidding)

Hostel stars,,, i have no idea, any famous faces? cant remember i doubt it. Plot in a sentence = Group of tourists go to Eastern Europe for some fun, staying at a hostel, where everything is not as it seems (tbh the first 30mins is like a soft porno, all you see is Boobs)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYbaveZ0NYY

Sin City (Action)

Stars= Grandad Bruce Willis (knickers and Bra, Jessica Alba and some others including Michael Duncan (big guy from Green Mile)

Plot= hmm i dont really remember there was 3 plots at once, one was about Bruce trying to save Jessica, another about a big guy trying to find a killer...........Was confusing, the best thing about it was that it was weird,(balck and white, with some colour) plot was ok, just wasn't the best, ood film though

Spirited Away (Anime)

Very good film, again may be a bit confusing, but the films plot is interesting, i think the main seller of this film is this weird feeling you get when you watch it, like your in some magical place

Two films: 'Dead Poets Society' and 'Shirley Valentine' - Very different films but with a common theme. You'll hate Shirley Valentine because you won't relate to the characters or the way its presented but stick with it. (It's got a couple of good lines that are worth watching for). You may well hate both because, like most of us, you probably won't appreciate the message until it's too late. If by watching, the message reaches you or anyone else reading this, then I would regard that as a good thing. The message is: respect yourself and live your life to the full ... and do it now - in every moment - because time has a way of sucking the life out of you if you let it. That's it - no politics, nothing clever, just that.
There are many good action films and great romances but these two touch on the fundamentals of life .... even yours.

Well James, me love, why don't you fix a stack of pancakes and watch the film "Smillia's Sense of Snow." It is a cult classic for some people in the world but I won't give it away for you.

Another film that I recommend is "Yankee Zulu," if you like comedies.

One of my family's favorites is "Tampopo" because it is about an aspect of Japanese life that we deal with every day. It is subtitled but my Mom even prefers it that way and she is Japanese.

So there it is, a little something for every kind of taste. I hope you enjoy them and since they are not new releases, the price will be fair. Have a wonderful day!! whrldpz the film nut

When Strangers Appear (2001)
This is one film that deserves to be tagged Hitchcockian, even down to having a McGuffin~that object that the story revolves around but generally gets forgotten as the film plays out (for example, uranium-laden earth in "Notorious" and stolen money in "Psycho"). Watch Radha Mitchell try to figure out the good guys and bad guys while conducting your own analysis. Stick with this all of the way through the credits because there's a bit at the end. Co-stars include Barry Watson and Josh Lucas.
IMDB summary:
Beth, a young woman who owns a restaurant close by an abandoned highway, shelters Jack, a young man who arrives at her door hungry and wounded. Soon, a group of men appears. Jack claims that they are after him. The handsome leader of the group tells Beth a different story.

Roadgames (1981)
This is another that reminds me of something Alfred Hitchcock or some other master of mystery would create. Richard Franklin certainly has his moments, including "Roadgames".
IMDB summary:
Pat Quid (Stacy Keach) is driving a semi across Australia. On the way he encounters various other travellers and the occasional hitchhikers repeatedly as they're traveling the same road. A favorite pastime of Pat is to play games to pass the time on the journey. Such as to make up backgrounds of the other people on the road. Pamela is one hitchhiker he picks up. But when she disappears, he suspects that the driver of a van who has been acting a little strange ("Smith or Jones") may be the serial killer mentioned on the radio. But his pursuit of the van driver brings him to the attention of the police, who begin to suspect him.

Visitors (2003)
This is another Richard Franklin film, and it becomes a freakfest at times. This one stars Radha Mitchell, too, and is practically a one-woman show.
IMDB summary:
After six months at sea on an unassisted solo circumnavigation, Georgia Perry's 44-foot sloop is becalmed for several days. Cabin fever sets in, and the border between fact and fantasy begins to distort. But if these are just tricks of the mind, how do these encounters leave Georgia with physical manifestations?

I love the fact you've asked for film with twists and people have suggested things like the Notebook and Grease 2?! I'd go with the Prestige, really good twist at the end Vantage point has got a few twists, its quite short though

it depends what sort of films you like.
Arsenic and Old Lace-an old black&white comedy with Cary Grant, great film.
Somewhere in Time-a time travel, romance with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. It's one of my favourites.
Gregory's Girl-early 80's scottish comedy, it's a gem.
Alien and Aliens.
Way out West-Laurel and Hardy
True Romance-Quentin Tarrantino film.

I agree with the guy above me, The Shawshank Redemption is a must!

The Jack Bull

It is a film about the necessity of justice and how hard it is to live without it. Amazing story, amazing cinematography, amazing characters and amazing actors.

Only has one real song in the movie and when you see it you will forever like the song and associate it with that particular scene.

Don't buy but rent Evan Almighty, sounds poor, but was very amusing for a nights entertainment. Light hearted comedy, but clever film and direction.
