Neuropsychologists usually get a PhD in Psychology (with a lot of coursework in testing and working with learning disabilities). They administer tests to determine, for example, if someone has ADHD, is dyslexic (because it is an impairment of the brain/nervous system), or other learning problems. They then provide learning strategies, and may give special "brain exercises" to help overcome the disability. They may work with psychiatrists where medicine is required. They get a bachelor's degree, usually then a masters and PhD, although some programs have a 4 year PhD program--there are LOT of clinical hours.
