When you enter the car and turn the key everything is fine, but when you turn the radio on and put your driver's side seat belt on the back right speaker shuts off. I have taken it to get a diagnostic done on the electrical system to see if there is a short, but no mechanic has been able to find out what it is. Also, the battery keeps getting drain, but when you meter the altenater the out put is 14.2, which is right where it should be. Does anyone have any ideas?

It has an aftermarket stereo, and we just got a new battery to make sure that wasn't the problem. So I know for a fact it isn't the battery.

Only a couple things can cause a drain, Starter/ alt / radio/alarm system. Or a dead cell on the battery. Maybe you don`t have a factory stereo and it was improperly installed. Have a look here to check you stereo wiring. http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/vehiclewiring/2/yeard/Dodge.html

Check your batteries water level. (BEWARE ACID) If it takes a short charge and wont hold that charge you may have a bad battery or a bad cell. Your speaker problem is a short. Also check for ground on the radio.
