To those who say we are at war because of the oil, why are we paying so much at the pumps??? We went to war because were were led to believe that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. He led the world to believe that he had these weapons and would use them as he did on the Kurds. We have to stay there now to prevent Iran from entering Iraq and taking control of the oil. If they do all western economy would suffer because Iran hates the west.

85% of Iraqi oil output is currently under contract to a French firm (Compagnie Petrol De Francais). The reasons for our military actions against Iraq are contained in the link below. Those reasons are almost identical to those which were contained in Public Law 105-338 (Iraq Liberation Act of 1998). That's the second link.

We aren't at war with Iraq - Iraq is at war with Iraq, we're just the occupiers that they shoot at and blow up because we're there.
And yes, as we have seen via repeated examples in African nations being run by "evil dictators", if Iraq's major export was baskets, we would NEVER have gone in.

None of these people Are patriots they have no respect for their country, they should be killed, We are their to ensure safety to LEGAL Americans!(STUPID WETBACKS) If you like Air conditioning, Cars, Trucks, Plastic then you should be supporting the war because if we leave they will stop exporting goods to America were they're to make sure terrorists don't blow up oil supplies being sent here
