First you add two (since its subtracting, you do the opposite and add.) to get x by itself. -2+2 cancels out so it becomes nothing. So 4+2=6. So now you have
-3x=6. In order to get x by itself, you divide 3 on both sides
(since its mulitplying, you do the opposite and divide.)
-3divided by -3 cancels out so its just x. 6 divided by -3 is -2. SO x= -2
