do you vote for your own answer? or do you leave it up to the others to vote? Especially if you think your answer is truly the best one?

Most of my Best Answers are a result of my own voting, I'm ashamed to say. I don't know why I do it.

I actually take my time to read all of the answers, if I think my answer is the best, then of course I'm going to vote for my own.

That's the American way, even the president of the U.S. votes for himself. Yes I do, too. That's how I also get most of my best answer votes. A bunch of times I'll be the only one that votes for the answer.

I usually vote for my own. Most of my best answers come from doing so.

I think the first reply is very honest, I go to other forums where I have never answered questions before so that I don't pick my own, some one told me that the moderators slap an instant ban on you if they notice your vote for your own question, that's why I avoid categories where I have answered like the plague.
