To you have a pre-paid phone or a plan phone? If its a pre-paid the on the back of the pre-paid card it will tell you how many minutes you have . If its a month plan then you should know that when you signed up for the monthly plan. When you use your minutes you will have less minutes to talk with.

you have to pay for all your calls. I've got 500 minutes a month, I don't know how many you signed up for.

you either have to buy mor if you're prepaid or pay extra for overages if you have a plan.
You should read your phone info/contract to be sure
