I used bottle water until 11 months, when I switched to regular milk.

Tap water is fine. Water from a municipal water supply is rarely contaminated unless there has been a break in the water line nearby your house.

Contrary to popular belief, bottled water and distilled water are not always sterile due to the bottling process.

Well or cistern water should be tested at a local health department, or it should be boiled before use.

I read your answer to the womans question about Formula feeding mothers being rude. Well, Im like you I breastfed but used the bottle when I went back to work at 6 months too. I just used plain tap water, its so much easier to mix up warm tap water than to boil it and let it cool. And it saves alot more money than buying nursery water. Im pretty sure tap water will be just fine. But hey, its your choice :)

I use tap water. I heard it's best to use tap unless you have a well water source, then you should boil it or use bottled water. Bottled water filters out a lot of the positive elements that tap water has though.

I used Nursery Water. I think it was Hinckley that puts it out. Should be able to find in grocery store. It has floride added for the teeth. After a while I used filtered tap water-like a brita pitcher. Mostly just used the Nursery water though. Tap water would probably be fine if your water is ok. Our had too much radium to give to small babies.

I personally use Nursery Water. The only difference is it has fluoride added. I know its alright to use tap but if you are thinking of changing you might want to mix bottled and tap for awhile to adjust the baby to it. You might not want to just switch to all tap at once because it might give the baby a tummy ache because the sodium content is different!

I use the Nestle Pure Life bottled water, he does better on it than when I was boiling our tap water. I think he prefers the taste.

i boiled my water, I was 16 when I had my son and while I had money to get him everything he needed, I still tried to save when I could, boiling the water was cheaper than bottled water (its free!) and its safer to give baby than tap water... I never had any problems with boiled water either
