a purse on da ground with 500 dollars in it and u knew whose it was??? would u go give it to them or keep it??

I lost something valuable a few weeks back and it was completely gone: then I found something and returned it to a stranger and the result was I got the thing I lost back later that day. Karma is powerful. Don't keep it. Give it back.

If you can easily find out who's it is from ID in the purse, most states have a statute that requires you to make efforts to return it in a reasonable time from finding it. Otherwise if they find you, they can charge you with theft.

Basically, I would return it.

If I knew whose it was, I would return it without opening it. If I did not know whose it was, I would turn it in to the police without opening it. In either case, I wound NOT know it had around $500 in it.

Depends. Do I like them? If not, I just take the money and leave the purse. If I did like them I'd give them the purse back with the money.
