Only time will tell.

I say vote out the old guard in both parties! We don't need another Bush or Clinton for president.

I don't think you have to worry about the polls now. George Bush just diminished any Republican hopeful today by signing a declaration (might as well say treaty) that will keep US troops in Iraq permanently. And since the majority of Americans want out of Iraq (since you believe in polls that came from one) including some of the Republican hopefuls, the American people will not overlook that. I don't know where the troops for this will come from. We've exhausted the ones we have now. So when a Democrat is elected this time and they will be, you can blame George Bush.

Well, it does raise questions about her electability. But before Republicans crow too loudly yet, consider 3 things:

1. This was an online interactive poll, that required people to register to take it. As we all know, online polls are notoriously problematic.

2. The Republican Party itself is deeply divided. There are 4-5 viable candidates, with no clear frontrunner. The depth of feeling for (and against) certain candidates is very strong indeed.

3. Hillary Clinton faced similar opposition in her run for the Senate seat for New York. She managed to overcome a lot of the deep negatives and polarizing nature of her candidacy and is serving her second term.

I think it's unwise to count any pre-hatched chickens.

Cheers.

Hillary is not my first (or even my 2nd) but that is primarily because I don't think her platform pushes the progressive agenda far enough. BTW, the first primaries/caucuses are in less than 45 days

That being said, I believe that when the primaries are over, the Democrats will pull together in a unified manner to :
Elect Congressional Candidates that will work for their constituents.
Pass a law to provide Health Care for all Americans
Withdraw combat troops from Iraq
Repair the tarnished image of America in the World.

The election is in 11 months. That is a whole lot of time.

Hillary Clinton would be challenging any Republican candidate in the race for the Presidency because she has the intelligence and experience as a lawyer, Senator and former First Lady.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

There is a year between now and the election. Anything can happen and don't count your chickens yet.

Yes, they are done. Thank God. We don't want her as president. We don't want a woman whose only military experience is that her hubbie dodged the draft as our chief of military forces. It is a very good thing for America that we wont get Hillary as president.
