A war tax versus a health care tax. Interesting. Well if these taxes were to be imposed by the federal govenment I would definately, without a doubt have to go with a war tax. (Although I would disagree with both) It is our federal governments responsibility to take care of our borders and protect this country from enemies foreign and domestic. Health care, since it varies on idividual needs, on the other hand, should be left to the hands of the individuals and communities to be responsible for. Our federal government spends so much time and money wiping the nose of the sick and putting food in the hands of the hungry that it and the people of this country have forgot its main purpose; to promote welfare not provide it.

We don't need a war tax, China has stepped to the plate and is lending us the money to wage this ridiculous war. Hummm, wonder what the interest rate on that is, you think we're paying for it today, but at the rate this is going, I won't live to see this paid off.
As for a health care tax, it's not needed. The money is there in the present tax structure, it's just leached away by pork projects and BS subsidies, like the millions or more we pay to subsidize the farming industry not to grow.

War tax for those who support the war.

No.

War bonds, yes.

Far from further subsidising the double-inflation-increase in healtcare costs, I'd be more for banning health insurance, completely. Let people put the tens of thousands they spend in premiums into tax-free HSAs, instead.

I am pro-war so I support a war tax. All conservatives who support the war should pay an increase of 95% in federal tax to fund the war

War tax? Why not issue war bonds to pay for the war like FDR did during WWII, instead of deficit spending?

Healthcare tax? Yes, provided that the tax reduced the amount that I spend annually for health care.

War tax-Yes, if the focus was on getting Bin Laden. Not for Iraq nor Vietnam. Health care-Yes, no question about it.

it really doesn't matter if you call it a separate tax or if it just comes out of the general fund. we pay for both with our tax dollars one way or another.

yes we should pay for health care, no we shouldn't be paying for this ridiculous war.

I would not support a war tax, they can just make do with the taxes we pay already--just like I (and millions of other Americans) have to "make do" with our checks. No extra!

Health care...hmmm, I'm not going to be popular, but when you are grossly obese (not due to a glandular disorder, or medication), smoke, or engage in unsafe sex, you should pay higher insurance premiums...yeah, I said it..and I'm a so-called Liberal. 3 year lifetime cap on Welfare benefits too...get a **** job and work.

I would support a health care tax but not a war tax, I care about taking care of myself and countrymen first...call me greedy I guess.
