Even if you are on a mac, I still recommend installing a security suite (antivirus, firewall, etc) from a reliable vendor (like virex by mcafee for os x).
I'm not sure I am understanding whether or not you are infected since you say you are on a mac and there are very few malware now for that OS (unless you have pre-osx?)
If you have infected files then you can certainly transmit them to a windows os and infect that system.
As for your information being at risk... absolutely.
A backdoor means your computer has an open door available to anyone who wants to take advantage of it.
So if I have accessed your system via a backdoor I could put on some monitoring software (ie, spyware / keylogger) and get your amazon account and credit card information and that's all folks!
Good Luck

You could pass that virus onto the computers that run the amazon and from there infect anyone who is surfing the website. Same thing with the trojan. Try to clean your computer.

You do not know what type of personal information will leak out to someone or not. The payment may or may not reach Amazon.com, but your personal information may be sent out at the same time. Clean up your Virus to get your computer work normally first before you do your shopping.

Watch out for keyloggers trying to 'steal' passwords and your account details. To be on the safe side, go into allprogs/accessories/accessibility to access an on screen keybd. You can then type in your details using mouse clicks instead of readable ascii chars.
