That could very well be.
You should probably factor in the All Hate Hillary, All The Time effect of the rightie media. One of the dictums of propoganda is to find a few simple points and repeat them endlessly.
Its like the old joke - If Hillary walked across the Potomac, the next day Limbaugh, Hannity, and Faux Noiz would all yell "Hillary can't swim!"
Actually I really hope a different Democrat gets the nod in the primaries. Not that I have any real hope of the Republicans walking their talk and supporting the duly elected Democratic president, but with Hillary I think it will be 4-8 years of constant mudslining and endless investigations into Hillary's sex life.

That Hillary is dropping in polls, at least nationally, is only in your imagination. Her approval rating nationwide has been essentially consistent for years - within the range of 50% +-4 in 20 of the 22 Gallup polls where this has been asked in the past 2 1/2 years. Her numbers for the Democratic nomination have actually gone up this year. In the three most recent Zogby polls of Democratic voters, she's averaged 41% support. In the three first polls of 2007, her average was 31%. In the NBC/Wall St Journal poll of Democratic candidates, she averaged 38% in the 3 polls taken this Spring, 46% in the 2 taken since Labor Day. In Fox's poll of a Hillary vs Giuliani race for all voters, Giuliani won the first 10 times from 2004 through June of 2007. Hillary has won the last 4. Bottom line: Hillary is rising in national polling.
She is dropping some in Iowa, which seems to reflect mostly that other candidates, especially Obama, are appealing to voters there. I haven't seen any numbers indicating that increasing support for Obama in Iowa reflects negative attitudes about Hillary.

Polls really mean little. Unless you are ahead in them. Just another notch on the Hillabuster belt. It means the battle shall get ugly. 300 million pays for alot of influence.
The more real Hillary Clinton the better for the Democrats in my opinion. If she breaks thru the Primary you'll lose he election. But never expect a fair fight. Just a battle, Clinton style. And if America woke up this summer! God Bless 'um. Research people!! Now I am grateful and can add this to my Thanksgiving.
edit: lol hillary will de feet hillary Foot in Mouth disease!! how long have I been pedling that one? ! Yahooo !!

Hillary's popularity has always been tied to her keeping her mouth shut. When ever she makes a public appearance she tanks in the polls. And saw a bit of her speech to the dems in Las Vegas, seems she still hasn't figured out Bush isn't on the ballot.

What it really means is that people are sick of liars talking for a year and still saying nothing.
I hope we never have another campaign run so long. I am sick of all of the front runners and sure as hell don't want to see any of them for another four years.

No, the candidates are heating up--Senator Clinton is the target for both sides. I predict she will rise above and continue to present herself as Presidential. Voters will respect her behavior.

I think that there are still a lot of undecided people out there.
If Obama wins Iowa, he has an outside chance of winning.
But I still say, that white America is still far too racist to elect a African American, therefore Hillary wins by default.

I think it means they are polling a more diverse group of individuals. A group that represents the true heart and soul of America.

That seems pretty obvious. Plus the fact they're getting to see more of the other candidates.
